Premananda Ji was born as Mahabir Prasad Saxena s/o Shri Shivprasadji and Smt Parvati at Balrampur on 7th May 1920 at about 4 a.m., in Brahma Muhurta. His father had lost several children in infancy and was worried that this boy might meet the same fate. He went to various saints and peers to seek their benedictions.
